Refugee Disaster
The Refugee and Disaster Relief Program is dedicated to supporting displaced populations and disaster-affected communities in Mubende District and across Uganda. The program responds to humanitarian emergencies while also addressing long-term recovery needs, working closely with local authorities, community leaders, and humanitarian partners to deliver timely and inclusive assistance.
A core component of the program is the distribution of emergency relief supplies to vulnerable households affected by natural disasters, displacement, or crisis situations. This includes food assistance, clean water, basic household items, clothing, and essential non-food supplies aimed at restoring dignity and meeting immediate survival needs.
The association provides targeted support to refugees and internally displaced persons, particularly women, children, and other at-risk groups. Services focus on protection, access to basic needs, psychosocial support, and referrals to healthcare and social services. The program promotes peaceful coexistence and integration between refugees and host communities.
In addition to immediate relief, the program supports early recovery and resilience-building initiatives. These include livelihood support, skills training, and small-scale income-generating activities that help affected individuals rebuild their lives and regain self-reliance after crisis situations.

Community Awareness
The program also engages in community awareness and disaster preparedness, helping local populations better understand risk reduction, emergency response, and recovery planning. Through training and community mobilization, the association strengthens local capacity to respond to future emergencies.

Refugee and Disaster Relief Program
Overall, the Refugee and Disaster Relief Program takes a holistic approach that combines emergency response, protection, and sustainable recovery. By addressing both short-term humanitarian needs and long-term resilience, the association works to improve safety, stability, and hope for refugees and disaster-affected communities in Mubende and throughout Uganda.
